New Emin Hotel is housed in an historic building with unforgettable views of the Sea of Marmara and the Princes’s Islands from our Seaview Terrace Cafe. Our guests are able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Old City of Sultanahmet whilst enjoying a refreshing drink on our terrace after a long day of sightseeing. In 2010 the hotel was skillfully refurbished in a blend of Byzantine and Ottoman architectural styles to create a truly Turkish experience for our guests.
The hotel is located within close proximity of the ancient walls of the Hippodrome and is only 300 metres downhill from the Hippodrome and the magnificent Blue Mosque. Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar are all within walking distance making the hotel’s location ideal. The tramline and tramstop of Sultanahmet are also easily accessible for visits to the Galata Tower in Beyoglu and the Dolmabahce Palace in Kabatas.
Not only can our guests enjoy all the world famous monuments in the Old City and beyond, but they can also experience the rich Istanbul culture by walking the neighbouring cobblestone streets. Sit and enjoy a Çay (Turkish tea) or tantalise your taste buds with some delicious Baklava at one of the many side-walk cafes. Witness street vendors selling vegetables and seafood from their carts and shoe shine men happily polishing the footwear of smartly dressed Istanbulites. Be more than just a tourist and immerse yourself in the local community.
During your stay at the hotel, our experienced and friendly staff would be delighted to assist you with booking any days tours of Istanbul. Should you wish to travel further afield to either Gallipoli, Ephesus, Cappadocia or to the seaside resorts of Antalya, Kas or Fethiye dotted along the magestic Turquoise Coast, we would be happy to prepare a tour program for your consideration.
The Management and staff look forward to making your stay at the New Emin Hotel a truly memorable experience!
